For a tuning no inspection visit is needed: a photo and a short description of the instrument are enough. For more demanding restoration work, if it needs to be seen in person, we agree that in advance.
Yes. An instrument well below pitch needs a pitch raise, an extra step to bring the tension back, and often a second pass a few weeks later. That is 50 euros on top of the tuning, and you know it from the quote.
The city of Milan and the inner suburbs are covered by the 100 euros. For the towns of Lombardy further out, a travel fee is added at 1 euro per kilometre of road distance: it covers the cost of the car journey there and back, rounded down, so the estimated figure is the most you will pay. The calculator above shows it to you straight away when you enter your address.
When the work is done, after we have tried the instrument together. You receive a proper receipt or invoice.
