The importance of maintenance
Piano maintenance, whether upright or grand, involves a series of different types of interventions that must be completed on a regular basis, although with different deadlines. Below you will find the maintenance interventions that can be carried out.
Tuning
Tuning will bring harmony to the piano, bringing the strings back to the right frequency. Since the piano is sensitive to changes in temperature and humidity, it is advisable to perform at least one tuning every year.
Restoration of internal components
External factors such as weather changes, improper transportation or other damage may make it necessary to carry out work such as repairing the soundboard, repairing the bridge or replacing strings and tuning pegs.
Mechanical restoration
Depending on the needs of the piano, it includes: shaving or replacing hammers, intonation, replacing dampers or other work. Scheduling periodic checks prevents any problems
